Each year Tioga County Department of Social Services and Broome/Tioga BOCES administer the Summer Youth Employment Program. This year’s program operates July 8th – August 8th. This is an opportunity for youth to engage in paid employment while school is not in session.
To be eligible to work, youth must be between the ages of 14 and 20, and live in a household with income below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Households receiving Temporary Assistance or SNAP would be included, and the wages received do not affect the household’s TA or SNAP benefits!
Open interviews will be held Thursday, June 13th, 4 – 6:00 p.m. at the Tioga Career Center; 1062 State Route 38; Owego, NY. Youth should come prepared for a job interview, and bring a parent or guardian.
For additional information, contact the Tioga Career Center at (607) 687-8500.
